Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold separate meetings with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. President Donald Trump in Florida, the United States on the 29th. The talks may cover the issue of launching another strike against Iran's missile program. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran is facing a "full-scale war" against the United States, Israel and Europe. "This war is far from over," and Iran will respond more resolutely to any new act of aggression by the U.S. and Israel.
According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu is scheduled to depart Israel on the morning of December 28 (local time) for a visit to Florida, U.S., where he will meet with U.S. leaders the following day.
Itinerary details released by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office to the accompanying press corps show that Netanyahu will meet with Secretary of State Rubio and President Trump respectively in Florida on the 29th. Statistics indicate that this will mark the fifth meeting between Netanyahu and Trump this year.
## U.S.-Israel Rift Over Gaza Ceasefire Deal Comes to Fore
Analyses point out that Netanyahu's visit takes place against the backdrop of growing divisions between the U.S. and Israel over the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Senior White House officials have run out of patience with the Netanyahu government's stance on the ceasefire deal. White House officials, including U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Rubio, are no longer willing to continue backing the Israeli government on this issue.
Analyses further note that U.S. officials believe Netanyahu is dragging his feet on the peace process and could reignite conflicts with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). Therefore, one of the objectives of Netanyahu's visit is to persuade the U.S. side to accept Israel's tougher position on the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
## Israel Plans to Inform U.S. of Possible New Strike on Iran
According to U.S. sources on the 20th, Netanyahu's visit may also include discussions with the U.S. about launching another military strike against Iran's missile program. Sources suggest that Netanyahu will argue to Trump that the expansion of Iran's ballistic missile program threatens Israeli and U.S. interests, necessitating swift military action. It is expected that Netanyahu will also present Trump with options for U.S. participation or assistance in such a military operation.
## Iranian President: Iran Facing "Full-Scale War" Against U.S., Israel and Europe
As reported by Iran International, Mehr News Agency and *The Times of Israel* on the 27th, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on the same day that Iran is engaged in a full-scale war against the U.S., Israel and Europe. Several months ago, U.S. President Trump ordered airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, and Iran also fought a 12-day war with Israel. "This war is far from over," Pezeshkian emphasized, adding that Iran will respond more resolutely to any new act of aggression by the U.S. and Israel.
Pezeshkian told Iranian media, "In my view, we are in a state of full-scale war with the United States, Israel and Europe. They want to subjugate our country." He noted that the U.S., Israel and European countries are attempting to encircle Iran and exert pressure on Tehran across cultural, political, security and trade domains. In his opinion, the current conflict between Iran and the West is more severe, complex and challenging than the Iran-Iraq War fought in the 1980s. "During the Iran-Iraq War, the situation was clear: they launched missiles, and we knew how to respond. But now, we are surrounded on all sides," he said.
Nevertheless, Pezeshkian insisted that Iran is currently "stronger in terms of equipment and manpower than during the 12-day war with Israel". "If the enemy chooses confrontation, they will naturally face a more resolute response," he warned. He stressed that safeguarding national unity is the best option in the face of potential aggression, stating, "If our people are united, they will not dare to invade our country again."
"Pezeshkian's remarks are bold," commented *New York Post* on the 27th. These statements come against the backdrop of United Nations sanctions imposed on the Iranian regime over its persistent pursuit of nuclear weapons—a sanctions initiative led by France, the United Kingdom and Germany. Iran International noted on the 27th that Pezeshkian made the above remarks just as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was about to visit the U.S., with plans to brief Trump on potential future strike plans against Iran. Earlier reports indicated that Tehran is rebuilding its ballistic missile production facilities and repairing air defense systems damaged during the June conflicts.
