Philippine lawmakers submit bill to establish national Bitcoin reserves, planning to purchase 10,000 Bitcoins within five years

According to Foresight News, Philippine Rep. Migz Villafuerte filed HB 421 bill, proposing to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve in the Philippines. The proposal calls on the Central Bank of the Philippines (BSP) to purchase 2,000 bitcoins each year, a total of 10,000 bitcoins for five consecutive years, and hold them for 20 years to ensure national security and debt stability.
