Trump Reaffirms Advantage Over Iran, Israel-Lebanon Ceasefire Extended, Iran Responds to Internal Division Rumors and Negotiation Focus

As of April 24, U.S. President Trump has once again made statements on the situation with Iran and the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire, reaffirming that the United States has "won a great victory" over Iran and clarifying that he is under no pressure and not in a hurry to reach an agreement. For its part, Iran has successively responded to the adjustment of the negotiation focus and rumors of internal division, clearly denying internal strife. Meanwhile, Israeli media have reported news related to the Iranian Speaker, and the statements from various parties have further affected the direction of the regional situation.
Trump once again emphasized that the United States has "won a great victory" over Iran, stating that it has ample time, no pressure at all, and is not in a hurry to promote relevant agreements in ending the war against Iran. A spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs clearly stated that the nature of the recent relevant negotiations has undergone a fundamental transformation, with the core issue no longer being the nuclear issue, but the complete termination of the war. In response to Trump's repeated claims of "internal division and strife in Iran", Iran clearly responded: "In Iran, there are no so-called 'hardliners' or 'moderates'. We are all 'Iranians' and all 'revolutionaries'."

Trump Announces Three-Week Extension of Israel-Lebanon Ceasefire Agreement

On April 23 local time, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform "Truth Social", clearly stating that the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon will be extended for three weeks, providing some space for a temporary relaxation of the regional situation.

Trump Reiterates "Great Victory" Over Iran: Has Time, No Pressure, Not in a Hurry

On April 23, U.S. President Trump once again emphasized that he is under no pressure to end the war against Iran, is not in a hurry to reach a relevant agreement with Iran, and expressed his hope to reach the "best" and "permanent" agreement to ensure the long-term effectiveness of the agreement.
Trump posted on social media that day, saying that time is completely on the side of the United States. He bluntly stated that he is "perhaps the one with the least psychological pressure" and clearly said: "I have the most abundant time in the world, but Iran does not", adding that the subsequent situation will only become more unfavorable to Iran, and "time is not on their side".
Later that day, Trump once again reaffirmed to the media at an event at the White House that he is "completely under no pressure", and it is Iran that is really under pressure—under the U.S. maritime blockade, Iran "cannot resume oil transportation, and their entire oil infrastructure system is on the verge of collapse".
Trump stated that he is fully capable of reaching an agreement with Iran at present, but the core demand is that the agreement be "permanent" and ensure that Iran will never have the opportunity to possess nuclear weapons. Therefore, he is not in a hurry to promote the agreement, emphasizing that "we have plenty of time". "If the United States leaves now, we have already won a great victory. It will take them (Iran) at least 20 years to rebuild their country. But I don't want to do that; I want a permanent agreement," Trump clearly said.
At the same time, Trump also issued a tough threat, saying that the U.S. side has attacked about 75% of Iran's targets, and its military strength has been severely weakened; if Iran refuses to reach an agreement, he will "finish the rest with military means", further strengthening the posture of putting pressure on Iran.

Iran's Foreign Ministry: Negotiation Focus Shifts from Nuclear Issue to Complete Ceasefire

In response to the appointment of Iranian Speaker Ghalibaf as the head of Iran's delegation to the Islamabad negotiations, a spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs made an official response on April 23, further clarifying the core direction of the recent negotiations.
The spokesperson emphasized that the nature of the recent relevant negotiations has undergone a fundamental transformation, with the core issue no longer being the nuclear issue, but the complete termination of the war, and the core orientation of the negotiations has undergone an essential adjustment.
A spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry introduced that Ghalibaf has actual combat experience in the Iran-Iraq War, a resume covering multiple fields, and rich experience in handling affairs. As the Speaker of Iran, he can effectively coordinate various domestic forces and is deeply trusted by all political factions in the country. This time, Ghalibaf and Aragaqi, who also has a war background, have formed Iran's negotiation team. Iran believes that this is a high-quality diplomatic combination capable of overall planning and effectively advancing the negotiation process.
The spokesperson clearly pointed out that the nuclear issue is no longer the main axis of the negotiations. The current focus of the negotiations is to achieve a complete ceasefire, and the top priority is to safeguard Iran's national core interests. At the negotiating table, Iran's key demands include claiming war reparations, resolving disputes in the Strait of Hormuz, and the complete lifting of sanctions. At the same time, Iran requires the United States and Israel to provide effective guarantees to ensure that they will not launch military aggression against Iran in the future. Any final agreement reached must be based on the bottom line of eliminating threats and preventing the recurrence of aggression.
It is worth noting that shortly before the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued the above statement, there were reports from Israel that Ghalibaf had resigned from Iran's negotiation team due to the intervention of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. So far, this news has not been officially confirmed by the Iranian government.

Iranian Leadership Collectively Denies Internal Strife and Division: We Are All Iranians and Revolutionaries

In response to U.S. President Trump's repeated public claims of "internal division and strife in Iran", on the evening of April 23 local time, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i jointly released a message through social media, collectively denying rumors of internal strife and division and emphasizing unity within Iran.
The three senior Iranian officials clearly stated: "In Iran, there are no so-called 'hardliners' or 'moderates'. We are all 'Iranians' and all 'revolutionaries'. With the iron-clad unity between the people and the government, and complete obedience to the Supreme Leader, we will make the invaders regret their actions."
It is reported that earlier that day, Trump had posted on social media, maliciously smearing the internal situation in Iran, saying: "Iran is struggling desperately to figure out who their leader is, and they have no idea. The 'hardliners' have suffered a crushing defeat on the battlefield, while the 'moderates' are not moderate at all but are gaining respect. The infighting between the two sides is simply crazy."
