Trump announces removal of Fed Director Cook
PANews reported on August 26 that US President Trump announced the immediate removal of Federal Reserve Director Lisa D. Cook from the post of Federal Reserve Act in accordance with Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution and the Federal Reserve Act revised in 1913.
The reasons for the removal include suspected false information provided in the mortgage agreement. According to a criminal referral report filed by the Federal Housing and Finance Bureau on August 15, Cook stated in two documents that Michigan and Georgia properties were their main residences, and the behavior was believed to have fraudulent and potential criminal problems. This incident has raised questions about his integrity and ability as a financial regulator.
