Forbes: Trump is one of the largest Bitcoin investors in the United States, holding approximately $870 million in Bitcoin
PANews reported on October 13 that according to Forbes, US President Trump holds a large amount of Bitcoin, estimated to be worth US$870 million, enough to make him one of the largest Bitcoin investors in the world. What makes Trump’s investment so secretive is this: He holds Bitcoin indirectly through his stake in the Trump Media & Technology Group, which operates Truth Social. Although Trump Media & Technology Group has annual revenue of less than $4 million, its market capitalization on Nasdaq is in the billions, and the company also pivoted into cryptocurrency earlier this year. In May, the company raised $2.3 billion through heavy borrowing and selling overvalued stock. In July, the company purchased another $2 billion worth of Bitcoin. The stock sale diluted Trump's stake in the company from 52% to 41%. Since the Trump Media and Technology Group invested heavily in Bitcoin, the price of Bitcoin has increased by about 6%. This leaves Trump holding 41% of Bitcoin reserves estimated at $2.1 billion, with a personal share of about $870 million.
