Canada will speed up the formulation of regulatory rules for stablecoins
According to Foresight News, Canada is soliciting opinions on stablecoin regulatory rules and may announce a major update in next week's federal budget, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Canadian government officials have been in in-depth discussions with regulators and industry players for weeks, the people said, asking not to be identified because the discussions are private. They said they planned to take up the topic in the budget documents to be presented by Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne on 4 November.
