Ripple completes $500 million in financing, led by Fortress and Citadel Securities

According to Foresight News, according to CoinDesk, blockchain payment company Ripple announced the completion of US$500 million in financing, led by Fortress and Citadel Securities. The company's valuation rose to $40 billion as a result. The financing also attracted participation from several major institutional investors including Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard and Marshall Wace. The financing follows Ripple’s recent $1 billion takeover offer at the same valuation and is structured as new common shares, expanding Ripple’s investor base.
