Sygnum Report: The main reason for institutional allocation to crypto has shifted from speculation to asset diversification

According to Decrypt, Swiss digital asset bank Sygnum stated in the "Future Finance 2025" institutional investor report that more than 60% of the more than 1,000 institutions and professional investors surveyed plan to increase their allocation of crypto assets in the future, and only about 4% plan to reduce their holdings; for the first time, 57% of institutions listed "portfolio diversification" as the primary reason for entering the crypto market, exceeding the 53% who "pursued short-term high returns." The report pointed out that more than 80% of the respondents regard BTC as a viable treasury/reserve asset, but the current main obstacles have shifted from volatility to regulatory uncertainty and custody security.
