PANews reported on December 14 that Hong Kong Legislative Council member Wu Jiezhuang was successfully re-elected as a member of the eighth Hong Kong Legislative Council. During the election process, he stated that he would continue to promote the development of Web3 in Hong Kong and would also assist the Hong Kong SAR government in developing cutting-edge future industries such as embodied intelligence, quantum computing, and space technology.
In addition, Wu Jiezhuang responded to recent questions about the development of Web3 in Hong Kong. Wu Jiezhuang believes that there will be no major changes in the development of Hong Kong’s stable currency and will continue to move forward steadily. Regarding RWA, Hong Kong has promoted a regulatory sandbox. Wu Jiezhuang believes that different industries can try boldly by combining Web3 technology, which he believes will promote the development of a large number of physical applications. At the same time, Wu Jiezhuang said that in the future, he will assist the industry in building a talent ecosystem and promote more developers and practitioners to settle in Hong Kong.
