A spokesman for Iran’s **Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters** has stated that the United States and Israel do not have a full understanding of Iran’s military power and equipment, and are completely unaware of Iran’s strategically significant and formidable capabilities. The enemy will face “**more devastating, wider-ranging, and more destructive operations**.” A top foreign policy advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader has declared that the Strait of Hormuz will **remain forever closed to the enemies of the Iranian people**.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, a spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a statement today (April 2) saying, **“The war will continue until the enemy surrenders and feels eternal regret.”** The statement added that the U.S. and Israel lack comprehensive knowledge of Iran’s military might and hardware, and are ignorant of the Islamic Republic’s strategically powerful capabilities.

As reported by CCTV International, the spokesman stated: **“Do not delude yourselves into thinking you have destroyed our strategic missile production centers, long-range offensive and precision-guided drones, modern air defense and electronic warfare systems, and specialized equipment. Such thinking will only plunge you deeper into the quagmire.”** He emphasized that the enemy would face **“more devastating, wider-ranging, and more destructive operations.”**

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) detected Iran’s fourth missile attack of the day, keeping tensions simmering. Earlier today, as reported in a Wallstreetcn article, Trump claimed in a national primetime address (on the morning of April 2, Beijing time) that the U.S. had achieved a **“rapid, decisive, and overwhelming victory”** in the war against Iran. He stated that the Strait of Hormuz would “naturally open” once the conflict ended, and vowed to launch **“unprecedentedly fierce strikes”** on Iran in the next two to three weeks.

### Top Advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader: Strait of Hormuz Forever Closed to Iran’s Enemies

According to CCTV News, on April 2 local time, **Ali Akbar Velayati**, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran and former Foreign Minister, said in a post on his personal social media account that the Strait of Hormuz is open to the world but **will remain forever closed to the enemies of the Iranian people and their strongholds in the region**.

Velayati stated that the end of the conflict depends on Iran’s decisions and strength, **not on the delusions and arrogance of the aggressors**.

### Iranian Missiles Target Israel; U.S. Deploys Additional Attack Aircraft to Middle East

According to CCTV International, the IDF said on April 2 that it had detected another missile attack from Iran, including one missile carrying a cluster warhead. No casualties or property damage have been reported so far. This marked Iran’s fourth attack of the day.

On April 1 local time, Iranian sources reported that **Kamal Kharrazi**, Foreign Policy Advisor to the Supreme Leader and former Iranian Foreign Minister, was seriously wounded in a U.S.-Israeli attack, and his wife was killed.

Later on April 2 local time, Iranian sources said that minutes after U.S. President Trump claimed to have destroyed Iran’s missile and defense systems, Iran launched missiles at northern Israel. The IDF issued a statement on the 2nd saying it had detected Iranian missile launches toward Israel and that its air defense systems were intercepting.

Separately, on April 1 local time, the U.S. Department of Defense is **doubling the number of A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft** deployed to the Middle East. These aircraft are primarily used to support ground troop advances.

Two Pentagon officials revealed the same day that the U.S. Air Force is sending **18 A-10 attack aircraft** to the Middle East, joining the dozen or so already in the region. Previously, U.S. commanders have used these planes to target Iranian vessels and Iran-backed militia groups in Iraq.

### Iranian President’s Open Letter to Americans: “Cut Through the Fog of War Propaganda”

According to Xinhua News Agency, Iranian President **Masoud Pezeshkian** published an open letter to the American people on April 1, launching a diplomatic public relations offensive.

In the letter, he stated that Iran harbors no hostility toward ordinary Americans, and called on the U.S. public to **“cut through the fog of war propaganda”** and reject “artificially manufactured threats.”

Pezeshkian questioned whether the U.S. truly follows an “America First” policy, or merely acts as “**Israel’s proxy**.”

He added that portraying Iran as a threat “**is neither consistent with historical reality nor with observable facts today**,” and argued that attacks on critical Iranian infrastructure—including energy and industrial facilities—targeted the Iranian people directly. “Such acts not only constitute war crimes, but their consequences extend far beyond Iran’s borders.”

### Trump Claims “Victory” While Threatening Further Escalation

According to Xinhua News Agency, in his national TV address on the morning of April 2 (Beijing time), Trump claimed the U.S. had achieved a **“rapid, decisive, and overwhelming victory”** against Iran. He said America’s core strategic objectives in the war were “near completion,” claiming that **“Iran’s navy has been completely destroyed, and its air force and missile program have also been severely damaged.”**

However, Trump also made clear that the war would continue for another two to three weeks, issuing a new warning: **“If no deal is reached, we will hit every single one of their power plants with unprecedentedly fierce strikes.”** He added that U.S. forces had so far refrained from targeting Iran’s oil facilities, **“but we can do so at any time—and if we do, those facilities will be reduced to ashes in an instant.”**

On the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said the U.S. barely needs to import oil through the strait, and demanded that other countries dependent on the waterway “**defend it themselves**.” He urged them to either “buy oil from the United States” or go directly to the Strait of Hormuz to “seize the oil.” The strait, he said, would “naturally open” once the war with Iran ended.
