Malaysia's central bank cuts interest rates for the first time in five years
On the 9th local time, the Malaysian Bank of China announced a 25 basis point interest rate cut, reducing the overnight policy rate (OPR) from 3% to 2.75%. This is the first time the country's bank has adjusted its interest rate in two years and the first time it has cut interest rates in five years.
