Trump's new tariffs are imminent, Hong Kong RWA registration platform will be launched

Don't miss the major Web3 events this week (August 4 - August 10, 2025). Here's a preview of the highlights:  

**Monday (August 4)**:  

Binance Alpha will list DarkStar (DARK) and Cycle Network (CYC) on August 4.  

Hester Peirce, Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will meet with small crypto projects at the University of California, Berkeley on August 4 to discuss the specific regulatory challenges they face. Projects interested in joining the panel discussion can contact via email.  

Solana's second-generation phone, Seeker, announced that shipments will start on August 4. If users have pre-ordered but not yet confirmed their delivery address and tax information, the device may be shipped late, missing the first batch. Users are reminded to update the information as soon as possible.  

The registration deadline for the Succinct airdrop is 3:00 AM Beijing time on August 4.  

**Tuesday (August 5)**:  

Binance Alpha will list Towns (TOWNS) on August 5.  

Ethena (ENA) will unlock 171 million tokens at 15:00 on August 5, valued at approximately $101 million, accounting for 2.7% of the circulating supply.  

Rice Robotics, the developer of the RICE AI platform, will sell its RICE tokens through TokenFi Launchpad on August 5. The token pre-sale amount is $750,000, accounting for 10% of the total token supply of 1 billion, with a valuation of $7.5 million.  

**Wednesday (August 6)**:  

Etherex will launch its token REX on August 6. Etherex is a DEX co-launched by Linea, Consensys, and Nile, an upgraded version of Nile Exchange. Built on Ramses v3 technology and centered around the x33 token economic model, its native token REX will be distributed to liquidity providers as liquidity rewards, and 100% of trading fees will be directly allocated to xREX voters. Users can convert REX to xREX and vote for their preferred pools.  

Brazilian legislators are preparing to debate a new cryptocurrency tax proposal put forward by President Lula, which will impose a fixed fee of 17.5% on all transactions. Compared with the old tax system, it abolishes the income tax exemption for small transaction businesses and targets decentralized financial activities through a provisional measure that took effect in June. The deadline for the decision is October 8; if the measure is not approved by this date, it will expire.  

**Thursday (August 7)**:  

U.S. President Trump signed an executive order imposing tariffs ranging from 15% to 41% on goods exported to the U.S. from 67 trading partners, raising tariff levels to the highest in more than a century. However, the new tariffs will take effect on August 7 instead of the previously scheduled August 1, giving countries another window to negotiate lower tariffs.  

Hong Kong's RWA registration platform will launch on August 7. Initiated by the Hong Kong Web3.0 Standardization Association, it will connect the entire service system for the digitalization, assetization, and financialization of RWA asset tokenization.  

**Friday (August 8)**:  

Immutable (IMX) will unlock 24.52 million tokens at 8:00 on August 8, valued at approximately $12.41 million, accounting for 1.3% of the circulating supply.  

**Saturday (August 9)**:  

The Vietnam Blockchain and AI Summit CONVICTION 2025 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from August 9 to 10, 2025.  

The registration for the Bitcoin re-staking platform SatLayer's airdrop will close at 21:00 on August 9.  

**Sunday (August 10)**:  

Render (RENDER) will unlock approximately 492,000 tokens at 8:00 on August 10, valued at approximately $1.7 million, accounting for 0.09% of the current circulating supply.  

YZi Labs' first offline global incubation program, EASY Residency, will end on August 10, with a Demo Day to be held. The selected 10-20 teams will showcase their product achievements to well-known industry venture capitalists and gain potential investment opportunities.
