The EU plans to promote the unified supervision of all encryption businesses in the region by ESMA
According to Foresight News, according to Bloomberg, the European Commission plans to give the European Securities and Markets Authority ESMA the ability to uniformly supervise and authorize all crypto asset service providers operating in the EU. The draft shows that ESMA can delegate tasks to national regulators when necessary. The draft plans must also be approved by the European Parliament and the Council of Member States. Currently, crypto asset service providers only need to be approved in any member state to travel throughout the EU under the 2023 MiCA rules.
